Personal Information Processing Policy

Finecem Co., Ltd. complies with the Personal Information Protection Act and related laws and regulations to protect the freedom and rights of data subjects, lawfully processing and safely managing personal information. Accordingly, in accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act, Finecem Co., Ltd. establishes and discloses the following Personal Information Processing Policy to inform data subjects of the procedures and standards for the processing and protection of personal information and to promptly and smoothly address any complaints related to this matter.

1. Purpose of Personal Information Processing

Finecem Co., Ltd. processes personal information for the following purposes. The personal information being processed will not be used for any purpose other than the following. If the purpose of use changes, Finecem Co., Ltd. will take necessary measures, including obtaining separate consent, in accordance with Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

Personal Information Items Processed Without the Consent of the Data Subject

Finecem Co., Ltd. processes the following personal information items without the consent of the data subject.

A. After-sales service inquiries for products sold
Legal basis: Article 15, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 4 of the Personal Information Protection Act ("Conclusion and Performance of Contracts")
Collected and used information: Name, phone number, address, purchase history

Personal information items processed with the consent of the data subject

Finecem Co., Ltd. processes the following personal information items with the consent of the data subject.

A. Personal information processing for service promotion and sales solicitation
Legal basis: Article 15, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 1 of the Personal Information Protection Act ("Consent")
Collected and used information: Name, date of birth, address, phone number, email address, and product of interest details
2. Personal information processing and retention period

Finecem Co., Ltd. processes and retains personal information within the retention and use period stipulated by law or within the retention and use period agreed upon by the data subject at the time of collection.

The processing and retention periods for each type of personal information are as follows:

  • A. Service provision: 1 year
  • B. Product inquiries: 1 year
  • C. Advertising inquiries: 3 months
  • D. After-sales service consultation: 1 year
Personal information destruction procedures and methods

Finecem Co., Ltd. destroys personal information without delay when it becomes unnecessary, such as when the retention period expires or the processing purpose is achieved.

If personal information must be retained in accordance with other laws and regulations despite the expiration of the retention period agreed upon by the data subject or the fulfillment of the processing purpose, the personal information will be transferred to a separate database (DB) or stored in a different location.

The personal information destruction procedures and methods are as follows:

A. Destruction Procedure
Finecem Co., Ltd. selects personal information for which reasons for destruction have arisen and destroys the information with the approval of Finecem Co., Ltd.'s Personal Information Protection Officer.
B. Destruction Method
Finecem Co., Ltd. destroys personal information recorded and stored in electronic files so that the records cannot be reproduced. Personal information recorded and stored in paper documents will be shredded or incinerated.
4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

Finecem Co., Ltd. processes the personal information of the data subject only within the scope specified in the personal information processing purpose. Personal information is only provided to third parties when required by the data subject's consent, special provisions of law, or other applicable provisions as stipulated in Article 17 of the Personal Information Protection Act. Personal information is not provided to third parties in any other circumstances.

To ensure smooth service provision, Finecem Co., Ltd. obtains the data subject's consent in the following cases and provides personal information only to the minimum extent necessary.

5. Entrustment of Personal Information Processing

Finecem Co., Ltd. may entrust personal information processing tasks to external parties as follows to ensure smooth processing of personal information:

Operation of product sales agencies.
  • Entrustee: finecem product supply agencies
  • Entrusted tasks: Product information and after-sales service to customers

When concluding an entrustment contract, Finecem Co., Ltd., in accordance with Article 25 of the Personal Information Protection Act, specifies in writing the prohibition of personal information processing for purposes other than those entrusted, restrictions on re-entrustment, and the management, supervision, and responsibilities of the entrustee. Finecem Co., Ltd. supervises the entrustee to ensure the safe processing of personal information.

6. Measures to Ensure the Security of Personal Information

finecem Co., Ltd. takes the following measures to ensure the security of personal information:

Administrative Measures: Establishment and implementation of an internal management plan, regular employee training.

Technical Measures: Management of access rights to personal information processing systems, installation of access control systems, and other related protective measures, storage and inspection of access records, installation and update of security programs, and inspection and improvement of vulnerabilities in personal information processing systems.

Physical Measures: Storage of documents, auxiliary storage media, etc. in a secure location with a locking device, safety measures against disasters, and control of the entry and exit of auxiliary storage media.

7. Matters concerning the installation, operation, and rejection of automatic personal information collection devices.

Finecem Co., Ltd. uses "cookies" to store and periodically retrieve usage information to provide personalized services to users.

Cookies are small pieces of information sent by the server (http) used to operate the website to the user's computer browser and may also be stored on the hard disk of the user's PC.

  • A. Purpose of Cookie Use: Cookies are used to provide optimized information to users by identifying visits and usage patterns for each service and website visited, popular search terms, and whether access is secure.
  • B. Installation/operation and rejection of cookies: You can reject cookie storage through the option settings in the Tools>Internet Options>Privacy menu at the top of the web browser.
  • C. If you reject cookie storage, you may experience difficulties in using customized services.
8. Rights, obligations and exercise methods of the information subject and legal representative

The information subject may request Finecem Co., Ltd. to view, transmit, correct, delete, suspend processing of personal information and withdraw consent at any time (hereinafter referred to as “exercise of rights”).

※ The legal representative must directly exercise the rights of children under the age of 14, and the information subject who is a minor over the age of 14 may exercise his/her rights regarding the information subject's personal information by himself/herself or through the legal representative.

The rights may be exercised against Finecem Co., Ltd. in writing, by phone, e-mail, fax, or the Internet in accordance with Article 41, Paragraph 1 of the Enforcement Decree of the Personal Information Protection Act, and Finecem Co., Ltd. will take action without delay.

  • The data subject can directly view, edit, delete, suspend processing, or withdraw consent for their personal information at any time through "My Information > Member Information" on the website, or request access through "Contact Us."
  • The data subject can also reject automated decisions and request explanations at any time through "Contact Us."

Rights may be exercised through a legal representative or authorized agent. In such cases, a power of attorney in the "Notice on Personal Information Processing Methods" [Appendix 11] must be submitted.

The data subject's right to request access to and suspension of processing of personal information may be restricted by Article 35, Paragraph 4 and Article 37, Paragraph 2 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

If personal information is specifically designated as a subject of collection under other laws, deletion of such personal information is not permitted.

Finecem Co., Ltd. verifies whether the person exercising the rights is the data subject or a legitimate agent.

The data subject may exercise their rights through the department below. Finecem Co., Ltd. will respond within 10 days (or without delay in the case of a transfer request) of receiving a request to exercise rights from the data subject.
